The artist is Sapunov

Bright yellow horses, discharged girls, a horseman, dashingly waving a scarf, panels with woven animals, colored lanterns and a fluttering orange-red flag, a lace of surrounding trees-everything flickers, spins, rushes under the dome of the carousel in a rapid vortex. It seems to be heard laughter, dialect, funny jokes and sounds of a hoarse grumble. Colorful colors merge into picturesque harmony. All depicted as if involved in the fun rotation of the carousel. The picture is painted in small, fractional strokes, like mosaic from multi -colored pebbles. The colors are rainbow, bright, sonorous, as in folk paintings and embroidery. "From the chaos of violent colorful strokes in the work of Sapunov, something whole and amazingly coherent is born, ”wrote Vsevolod soldiers,“ he… Organizer of Chaos. When you cover it "Carousel" a common look, then absorb it at once and amazed… amazing power of this work". The increased version of the picture is in the GTG.

The state of safety before restoration:

The picture written in adhesive technique was in very poor condition. The canvas was very deformed, the colorful layer was powered, when creating the picture, the artist glued the canvas coat from two parts on a thin canvas, which was peeled off along the perimeter of the picture. In the center of the canvas there were numerous foci of decoration. During the previous restoration, gross priches were made, which greatly deformed the base and the colorful layer. As a result, the connection of the colorful layer with the base was disturbed. On areas with multi -layer painting, peeling and fine -coated hard craquelure with raised edges, threatening with a sowing.

In the process of studying the picture and the reasons for the destruction of the colorful layer (there is no soil, numerous blory, detachment, scree) was observed).

The complexity of the work was the impossibility of using traditional methods of preservation and restoration of painting due to unusual writing technique. The author used adhesive paints in separate areas with the addition of varnish.

Complex of the events:

After the local strengthening of the colorful layer in emergency sections and brand branding, a complex decoration of the picture was performed, as a result of which it turned out that the first author’s canvas on the back was covered with soil. The composition and safety of the main canvas and the narrow strip – different. The thick layer of gum, with the help of which the author glued two canvases, as well as pollution, were gradually removed in small sections. After that, on the processed area, the soil, the base and the colorful layer were immediately carried out. The final removal of the remnants of the gum was carried out with the help of a drill with various nozzles. In the process of work, control over the state of the front side was constantly carried out. In conclusion, duplication was carried out with preliminary gluing a layer of Japanese paper on the author’s canvas. After which the picture was stretched on a constant subframe. After removing persistent pollution, restoration soil was lifted, varnish in areas of varnish painting was restored and loss of loss using watercolor paints was performed.

An important result of the work was the development of methods for strengthening and duplicating paintings made in mixed picturesque technique without preventive rivets from the front side. In the process of work, sparing technologies of technical restoration using drill and ultrasonic microscalpels were worked out. The colorful layer, soil and base was returned to plasticity, as a result of the strengthening, the connection was restored between all elements of the picture without changing the color and texture of matte, velvety painting. In addition, these methods were first worked out in a picture of such a large size.
