In 1814-1816, the Swiss painter Jacques Christoph Mivil traveled to the Caucasus and Crimea, lived for some time on the estate of the Tauride Governor A. M. Borozdin. During the trip,.-TO.Mivil performed a large number of drawings, according to which, upon returning to Basel in 1817–1819, paints painted. The completed species were sent to St. Petersburg for sale. The Karadat Valley (Caudato Forest) is a shallow vast valley in the western part of the plateaious highlands of the Ai-Petrinsky egg.
